Victoria School Cross-country

Cross-country is one of the many Co-Curricular Activities (CCAs) in Victoria School (VS), Singapore. VS participates in the National Inter-School Cross-country Championships "B" and "C" Division (Boys) every year. It has done exceptionally well over the years, despite the stiff competition as it is participated by more than 100 schools in Singapore.

VS has won a total of 32 cross-country team titles since 1988, winning at least one "B" or "C" Division (Boys) team title every year except for 2007. Double gold was achieved 9 times in the years: 1990, 1992, 1994, 1996, 1997, 1999, 2005, 2006 and 2010. Grand slam was achieved 4 times in the years: 1994, 1996, 1997 and 1999, when Victoria Junior College (VJC) won the "A" Division (Boys) team title. In the grand slam years of 1996 and 1997, VJC won the "A" Division (Girls) team title as well.

VS has also produced individual champions in 1998 and 1999 for "B" Division, and 1988, 1990, 1993, 1994, 1997, 2000, 2001, 2003, 2005 and 2010 for "C" Division.

Shi Yiguang of VS became the first schoolboy to win 4 team gold medals in successive years from 1989-1992. Since then, a number of Victorians have won 4 team gold medals in successive years: 1994-1997, 1995-1998, 1996-1999 and 2003-2006.
